Dr. April Tressler

Hi, I’m April and I’m the owner and dentist here at Distinctive Dental Implants. I am a native Wisconsinite having graduated high school in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. After high school, I attended the United States Military Academy at West Point where I earned a BS degree in Psychology and Nuclear Engineering. I served on active duty for five years in the US Navy and continued my study of nuclear engineering. After my time in the Navy I decided to make a career change. I returned to school at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where I graduated in 2015. Following graduation, I practiced in New Jersey before returning to the Madison area in 2018.
My engineering background led me to the world of dental implants. I began my implant journey in 2019 by learning the basics through a variety of courses. From there I was hooked! In 2021 I joined the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and enrolled in the Maxicourse, which is a year long course for implant mastery. I am currently completing a mini-residency for advanced surgical techniques with the Dental Implant Learning Center in New York City. I am currently an Associate Fellow of the AAID with plans to advance my credentials to diplomat status.
In 2016 I trained with the American Academy of Facial Cosmetics. During my years in New Jersey I owned and operated an esthetics practice called “Facial Esthetics @ The Shore” which specialized in botox and dermal fillers. I have continued with my esthetics training and have worked in several medical spas in the Madison area. I am very excited to have my own dedicated esthetics practice to continue to help patients enhance their smiles! Stay tuned as I continue to add more esthetic options in the future!

Hi! I'm Marcus, the dental clinic manager, insurance specialist, and patient coordinator here at DDI. I’ve been in the dental field for 12 years and it’s also where I met Dr. April. Even back then, we would talk about the dream of opening our own practice, so it’s been incredibly rewarding to now be part of making that vision a continued reality.
Outside of work you’ll usually find me cooking, baking or spending time outside with my husband and two dogs; Riley and Daissy! I also enjoy natural light photography.

Hi! I’m Campbell and I am Dr. April’s dental assistant and phlebotomist. Working with patients over the years has helped transform me from a shy kid to a personable professional.
I am passionate about my job, my family and my friends. My husband and I love to spend our time outdoors, fishing and working on our fixer-upper house.
I am so excited to be a founding member of the Distinctive Dental Implant team!

Hi! I’m Amanda and I am the lab technician here at DDI. This team has truly become a second family to me and I love being part of such a supportive and caring crew. I love working behind the scenes to help bring everything together- it’s one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
One of the best parts of my job is getting to work alongside my daughter, who is also a dental assistant here. It’s a special experience I’m truly grateful for every day.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with family- whether it’s year-round BBQ’s, playing Euchre or cheering on my husband while he plays lead guitar in his band, SMC

Outside of the office I’m a proud mom of two and a devoted dog owner to my two pups! Her love for creativity blooms beyond dentistry through my flower business, where I design beautiful arrangements and bring joy to others through my work. You can also find me in the garden!

Hello, I’m Yolanda. I’m here to support out Spanish-speaking patients so that every step of your visit feels clear, comfortable, and truly understood.
For me, translation is more than language- it’s about connection, trust, and helping you feel at ease. Whether I’m explaining a treatment, answering your questions, or simply being a welcoming presence, my intention is that your feel confident, cared for, and accompanied with kindness every step of the way.
Outside of the office, I cherish time with my family, being in nature, and finding meaningful ways to be of service to others. I also enjoy spending time with my grand-dog , Nico, who reminds me of the quiet joy found in simple moments and unconditional love.
